Become Well Adjusted
Dr Kent and Jodie Blackbourn completed their five year chiropractic training in Melbourne before practising in England for four years. Since coming home to New Zealand in 1996 they have specialised in natural chiropractic care for families.

I grew up in a chiropractic family so I assumed it was normal to rarely be sick and hardly ever need visits to the GP or medications.
While completing my sports diploma I began playing ice hockey for a local team and then became the team physician for the New Zealand team for the world championships over the next 6 years. I was invited to attend the Sydney Olympics in 2000 as part of an international chiropractic team providing care to teams who did not have their own chiropractors.
I have now completed 25 years in practice, and my third postgraduate diploma (three years of paediatrics) and am looking forward to helping more of our families be healthier and achieve more. Some of the people we saw as children are now having their children checked, continuing their proactive health legacy.

I have always been a keen sports person and was passionate about health and working with people. Chiropractic ticked all the boxes for me. I work predominately in Pukekohe and love the fabulous community. I am also a clinical Supervisor at the New Zealand Chiropractic College. It is a great pleasure working with the students and their patients, and helping them develop their skills.
Our two teenage boys have had chiropractic care from birth. They have never had antibiotics and have only had a couple of days off school in their entire school lives. They really enjoy their chiropractic care and know that their bodies work so much better when they are checked regularly.
After 20 years in practice, I am still passionate about chiropractic, and my patients and team. It’s great to be part of the chiropractic family.

I have lived all my life in Pukekohe and love the community spirit here. My first experiences of chiropractic were through my family, all of whom are under chiropractic care. It’s been great to see the rewards they have gained from it.
I joined the Pukekohe Chiropractic Clinic in 2012. I enjoy being able to help people through chiropractic care in our office and I love being able to put a smile on people’s faces. I have been getting adjusted since I started at Pukekohe Chiropractic and now have the benefit of a healthier, functioning spine.
