Papakura Chiropractic – ACC & Health Insurance Policy
At Papakura Chiropractic, we’ve made the intentional decision not to bill ACC or work directly with health insurance providers, even though we are fully registered and eligible to do so.
Our main reason is simple: we want your care to be based entirely on what you need-not on what insurance will approve or reimburse. Insurance and ACC often place restrictions on how often you can be seen, what techniques are used, or how long care can continue. We believe this can interfere with your progress and undermine the quality of care.
In addition, we’ve found that managing insurance or ACC paperwork, requests for reports, and admin follow-ups can be extremely time-consuming and ultimately take our focus away from where it matters most-**caring for our patients**. For this reason, we do **not provide letters, reports, or supporting documents for claims**, and we do not correspond with ACC or insurers on your behalf.
We are, however, still ACC registered and **able to initiate a claim** if appropriate-for example, in cases requiring x-rays or referrals to other providers.
By keeping things simple and patient-focused, we’re able to provide consistent, high-quality care to every person who walks through our doors.
